Welcome to my (very first) public Wiki homepage

I've been working in the IT-domain for more than 20 years now. However especially in the last few years, I developed some tiny little helpers, that might me useful also for others.

Therefore, I put them here to share them with the planet (Or the galaxy? Or even the universe?)

As soon as I find the time, I will write more detailed information about each item. But for the time being, I simply make the stuff available as attachments to this homepage.

(You have to know that I hate empty home-pages that have nothing to say. So I think providing the attachment now without an in depth explanation an do the details later is better than holding them back.)

If you have any questions about one or the other item, please don't hesitate to contact me.

  • You want to use e.g. OpenVPN, but you are worried about hot to manage the CA (Certification Authority) to create the X.509 keys? Key management can be a simple as a Makefile as you can see here.
  • You want to block incoming traffic under linux when directly connected to a hostile network like the internet without the overhead of a full-blown personal firewall? Have a look at this file than can directly be used as input to iptables-restore.
  • You get an IP-address as a guest in some LAN, but after a few days you are asked to register you computer with the IT department (and the IP address you get via DHCP doesn't work any more)? Have a look at the MAC address randomiser script.

Needless to mention that all this stuff is for UNIX/LINUX. ;-)

In a world without walls and fences who needs windows and gates?

Have fun
